Ahead of 2019 General Election, ATIKUNATION Independent Campaign Group (ICG), a support group which seeks to introduce the “real Alhaji Abubakar to Nigerians” and to “campaign and mobilize the electorate to vote for him” inaugurated its 31 local government coordinators in Uyo the Akwa Ibom State capital.
In an event which had over hundred persons in attendance, mainly politicians with proven record of grassroots mobilization, such as former and serving council chairmen, vice, councilors, and secretaries cum other political office holders.
In his opening remark, Apostle Praise'God Otok,JP the State Director said that ATIKUNATION is an Independent Campaign Group (ICG) poised to sell the brand ATIKU in ensuring that, electorates are well Atikunated for proper Atikulation of their precious votes for the actualization of His Excellency, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar GCON ambition of moving to Aso Rock in 2019 , which he noted will end famine, starvation, and untold hardship presently witnessed by Nigerians.

“ATIKUNATION ICG is a campaign machinery to propagate the antecedence and goodness of Atiku Abubakar,we all know Atiku Abubakar is not a new person in the political history of Nigeria,…Atiku Abubakar has sown good seeds in political terrain, he is a humble man” he said
The State Director went on to analyze that, the man, Atiku Abubakar's political cum benevolence antecedents exploit very well speak volumes for him. Hence, the seeds he has sown over the decades have reached their harvest peak. He went further to say that, he has the innate conviction in his spirit that, our principal, Atiku Abubakar when Atikulated into Aso Rock come 2019 will surely hand over the reigns of power to a youth.

Speaking during the event Hon. Samuel Edem Nkenang the Uyo Coordinator applauded the State composition of the group with well known political grass rooters. He pledged the Senatorial district support for the group and the principal.
“We the coordinators from Uyo Senatorial District are for good, we are for success , we will mobilizes our people for Atiku Abubabar, please let us support the state director in secret and in open”
Hon. Samuel Asangedem Umana the Onna Local Government Coordinator who spoke for Coordinators from Eket Senatorial District, said Atiku Abubakar is a great man and pledged commitment to mobilize for Atiku.
“It is a great pleasure to work with this organization, it’s an honour to work with Atiku Abubakar a great man, we the coordinators from Eket Senatorial District pledge to be very committed and take this job seriously and to be very honest as we have seen honesty been displayed here”.
For Ikot Ekpene Senatorial district, the Obot Akara Coordinator Hon Iberedem James Asaminyie said Atiku Abubakar is a force to reckon with citing his days at PDM. He however reminded the group that politics is capital intensive.
Speakers at the event included Rt.Hon.Bassey Bassey Akpan, the Vice Chairman of Uruan LGA, and Atikunation Uyo Senatorial District Coordinator, Evang. Rose Enoh Okon, the State Woman Leader, and Rt.Hon. Pius Emmanuel Akpan,immediate Vice Chairman of Etinan LGA, and Atikunation Etinan Federal Constituency Coordinator. Notably in the event was Hon. Charles Bassey, a former councillor, and Chairman, Forum of Former Councillors in Akwa Ibom State, who is Atikunation State Director of Special Duties, and was the anchor of the event cum a cross section of both former, and serving Councillors.
Inaugurating the 31 LGA Chapters Coordinators, the State Secretary of ATIKUNATION, Hon. Dr. Roberta Edem charged the Coordinators on commitment and delivery. The oath of office was administered by the Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District Coordinator, Barr. Emem Ene Akpanwa. The inauguration didn't end without attracting the Eagle Eyes of Directorate of Secret Service DSS.
The Local Government Coordinators approved Hon. Iberedem James Akpan Asamenyie as the dean of Coordinators, while Hon. Emmanuel Akpan Moses is the Secretary.
